Dillsburg, Pennsylvania – For the past 20 years, Marc Anderson has been a teacher and administrator at Northern York High School. But rather than just teaching history and social studies, Mr. Anderson will be living what he has studied and taught to thousands of students, as he announces his bid for Pennsylvania State House, 92nd District.
The 92nd district house seat encompasses Dillsburg, Northern York and the portions of the West Shore. The seat is opening as Representative Dawn Keefer has announced her bid for state senate given the announced retirement of current senator, Mike Reagan.
“Dawn Keefer has been a tremendous representative, friend and servant leader in our community,” says Anderson. “She has championed the conservative values of our families and community members, created and led the Freedom Caucus. My goal is to continue to advance those same principals of limited government, financial accountability, individual liberty and freedom.”
When asked why he decided to enter the crowded race for the 92nd district house seat, Anderson explains. “I grew up in Mechanicsburg, earned my degrees from York College and Penn State Harrisburg. After college, I pursued a lifelong dream, serving our country in the United States Air Force. Upon completion of service, my wife and I moved back to Central PA and made our home in Dillsburg. We have been so blessed to raise our children, live, work and participate in a community we truly love.
“I’ve always been an active volunteer. But the real motivation for running for office came from my students. Four students presented me with their wisdom, detailing why I needed to run. I am passionate about teaching young people about our amazing country, the Constitution, the price of freedom. Our children are in danger of losing that history and our freedoms. One of the above students wrote me an inspiring letter of encouragement about my candidacy. That letter will be in my pocket during every campaign conversation as a reminder that this campaign isn’t about me. It’s about our country, state, community and ultimately our kids and their kids. It’s about freedom.”
